Product Review: VMV Powder Foundation

Yesterday was my day of vanity. I got my hair overhauled at Ystilo Salon MOA branch with my hairdresser, Romy and I got myself (uhm, a gift from boyfie actually) a new face powder!

For the past seven months or so, I have been applying L'oreal's mineral make up foundation which my good friends from Singapore gave me as a casual present. I wanted to try out mineral make up then so I dressed up my vanity kit with these "less" harmful materials. I love the product as evidence by its "simut sarap" little jar. And so after how many attempts of going to Watson's or SM, I finally scouted the product at MOA. It should have been a quick buy, just going straight to the L'oreal booth and pick up my shade then that's it. But because of a wide array of make up brands sprouting at the grounds of SM department store, I decided to find another hopefully good product for my face.

My eyes were locked on VMV's 25% off promo (lol!). I have used this brand five years ago but never got a chance to repurchase anyting until yesterday. The sales agent was effective in inviting me to try their powder foundation instead of the normal pressed powder!

Hopefully my face's new best friend!

The product comes in a neat and sophisticated box made of a fine, suede-like material!

I love how simple yet elegant the product packaging is. It is in pure white with a metal piece bearing the brand's name at the center.

Why Approved:

  The package is neat. It denotes class and sophistication

  It can be applied wet or dry beacuse of its two-in feature, a powder and a foundation

  It is packed with SPF 25 that can help me protect my skin from hurtful sunlight

  It is in a pressed powder form (in contrast to my L'oreal loose mineral foundation) which I can easily use even if I am in a moving car without staining my clothes

  It is not messy and can be applied with a minimal amount of the powder foundation

  It hides blemishes but appears to be natural

  Sales agent claims that it is long-lasting (I have yet to confirm this in my succeeding aplication) thus making it more economical than other powders

  Sponge is washable getting rid of the unpleasant smell of it upon regular use

Why Doubt:

  Regular price is at Php 1940 (thanks to the 25% off) which for me is a bit pricey

  The content is of small quantity, it might only last for four months or so

The Verdict:

It is too soon to draw a conclusion for this product but I will spill in detail my observation in the next few days!
