Dress Up: One Six Eight

So... I'm fully dressed and accesorized courtesy of.... 168 mall!!! Yes, My dress, jacket, necklace, and earrings all came from the haven of bargain hunters! I'm impressed this mall has a lot to offer - fashionable and trendy pieces at a very reasonable price!

Okay, so I've read some years ago that it is a no-no to pair black and brown. Both are alpha colors and combining them would create major clashes. But true to its advocacy, fashion never really has rules. Anything can go!

So the moment I saw this dress, Plains and Prints imediately came into my mind! I got this from the Taylor & Company stall at a slim price of Php 450! The texture is so light and has that "gusot mayaman" thing. It is light yet it still commands authority when paired with the right pieces suitable for office. Thus, pairing it with a decent jacket put aside the casual look and welcomed a sting of corporate aura.

The inhouse belt is a cute addition to the dress and the ribbon is such a lovely piece clump in the center of my hips. As I did a full neutral color match, I decided to throw on my bright orange and yellow necklace to give a pop of cheers in my outfit. See my earrings? It was not intended to take this pose with the yellow thing on my ear but I am glad it did pop up and complemented my neck piece.

My heels are from Lyn in Greenbelt 5 which I scored on a sale for Php 750. The price tag says it is like 4500 bucks. I wouldn't get them if they are on a regular price, of course!

So how much do you think is my 168 look? :p
